Areal Flood Advisory
Issued by the National Weather Service at 2:20 PM MDT on July 3, 2009
The National Weather Service in Denver has extended the
* small stream flood advisory for...
the Blue River north of Green Mountain Reservoir in
northwestern Summit County in central Colorado and
central Grand County in north central Colorado
* until 345 PM MDT Sunday.
* Bureau of reclamation personnel will continue to release water
from Green Mountain Reservoir through this weekend. This will
produce elevated flows on the Blue River from below Green
Mountain dam to its confluence with the Colorado River near
Kremmling. The high flows will cause flooding of low lying
agricultural land near the river.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
Persons along the Blue River below Green Mountain dam downstream to
Kremmling should exercise caution during these high flows this weekend.
